Mt. Zion has several ministries. We encourage each member to volunteer in a ministry. Below is a listing of active open ministries and the respective ministry leader. Also, below, we have provided a brief description of ministries that need additional information. Many of our ministries consists of both youth and adult volunteers.
Acts 2 - "Meeting People's Tangible Household Needs through Sharing and Distributing"
Leader: Minister Stephanie Prevo
This ministry serves as a vehicle to meet the household tangible needs of individuals in our congregation and community. For example, if a household donates a queen bedroom suite, this ministry delivers that item to a family who is in need of that queen bedroom suite. The donations are done anonymously. This ministry is currently in need of individuals to help transport and deliver items.

The Mt. Zion bookstore is located in our main lobby. It is open before and after services on Sunday and during the week. Individuals are needed to assist in running the store.
Building Beautification - "Enhancing the Visual Appeal of the Church"
Leader: Sis. Modean Reeves
Individuals in this ministry beautifies the building in various ways - flowers, decorations, etc.
Card - "Demonstrating the Love of God through Cards"
Leader: Sis. Cynthia Morris
We desire that every member of our congregation is recognized during impactful events (birthdays, anniversaries, bereavement, etc.). This ministry ensures that every member receives cards.
Care - "Demonstrating the Love of Christ by Meeting the Care Needs of Others"
Leader: Sis. Rosie Woods
There are members of our congregation who can no longer do basic things for themselves at home. They may be sick, shut-in, or convalescent. Individuals in this ministry cares for these members of our congregation on a regular basis.
Christian Education - "Empowering People by Modeling Obedience to God's Word"
Leader: Rev. Ryan Jackson
The Christian Education ministry is responsible for Fulfillment Hour, Bible Study, and other educational opportunities presented by the church. This area also oversees Christian education for ages 6 months through adult. Training is required for many of the volunteer opportunities in this ministry.
Communications & Duplication - "Providing Clear and Clean Audio to Grow God's Kingdom"
Leader: Bro. Claude Little
Individuals in this ministry run the sound board for services at Mt. Zion and run the duplication area (CD's and DVD's). Training is required.
Connections - "Christian Black Men Mentoring Young Black Males to Live Godly"

Culinary - "Serving Our Community By Providing Nutritious Meals"
Leader: Bro. Donald Atkinson
Mt. Zion serves breakfast to our members and guests each Sunday (free of charge) beginning at 9:00 a.m., right before Fulfillment Hour begins. This ministry also serves during a repass held at Mt. Zion.
Drama (Performing Arts)

Provides short skits and plays during the worship experience and other services.
Gospel Rap (Performing Arts)
