Next up on "Love Me"Relational Self - Care
|
Last time on "Love Me"Physical Self-Care involves taking care of your physical body. This area is emphasized by and of great importance to non-believers who make caring for their bodies a religion. For believers, however, we recognize the authority of God over our bodies because our bodies are where God, the Holy Spirit resides. It is His temple and should be cared for to live long and remain strong, even as we mature. Not taking care of the body leads to fatigue and tiredness, sickness, and physical death. Here we discuss some ways to practice physical self-care.
Mental and Emotional Self-Care involves taking care of your mind. Our minds are powerful tools to be used for the glory of God. He wants our minds to be sharp and focused, clear, able to problem-solve and reason, and to recognize when it needs to shut down and refresh. However, the stresses of life can lead to poor mental health, being emotionally drained, feeling tired, foggy brained, overwhelmed and unable to cope. Here we discuss some ways to take care of our minds. |

Life Group Registration New Term for Life Groups is Open |
What are Life Groups?
A life group is a place wherein we grow closer to God and closer to one another in small group settings. Each life group will focus on studying and obeying the scriptures, growing relationally with one another through fellowship, and sharing God’s love to the world around us. Why does Mt. Zion do Life Groups? We believe that significant life change best takes place in the context of intentional relationships. Life Groups are the places where real life and real issues are discussed. This is the environment to celebrate the successes and good times of life, as well as comfort one another in the tough and disappointing times. It’s a place to be encouraged, equipped, and challenged to grow in our relationship with Christ together. When do Life Groups meet? Life Groups meet virtually every week. What are the Advantages of Joining a Life Group? * Connects you with others sharing the same concerns * Connecting common people with common things * Encouragement and learning from others * Doing fun activities together * You are plugged into the body of Christ * Develop relationships with other believers |
